Hey, if you have them, we'd love to hear them. Post your success stories of finding a match on ObamaCycle here. Particularly Texas or Ohio. And thanks for participating!
Got my first pack of Hope Campaign materials today and it was great. Hitting the University Of Florida campus to distribute to the students to get the word out. This site works great in bringing people together to get stuff out to the people.
Hi y'all!
An update from central Virginia . . . first, many thanks again to JackJack and Camille for their transfers of Obama08 buttons to us (We can use even more!).
Visibility is the name of the game here. Only northern Virginia (really DC suburbs) and the Charlottesville area (U.VA) are really solid Obama country. Where we live are the KoolAid Drinkers. It's very amusing to see the legions of evangelicals and "movement conservatives" agonize over "their" candidate. This time, they don't have the great good fortune of unity behind their guy as do we. The military, on the other hand -- centered around Hampton Roads/Norfolk -- are reflexively pro-McCain. They're fixated on his Vietnam experience and oblivious to his Senate record.
That's why visibility of support for Barak is the key in this state ... maybe we can bring Virginia into the Blue Column for Obama. It's truly amazing the scope of unexpected people who've asked us for -- and are wearing -- Obama buttons. The black folks and college types we understand. But the older white rural demographic we're uncovering is really amazing. We're attending an Obama rally Saturday at a doctor's home near Lake Anna . . . even farther into the heart of darkness. Wish us luck! Jesse & Dottie
I also would like to report positive news! I'm in Ohio and had wonderful response. THank you Abby in MD! She sent yard signs and an address to forward them to when OH primary was over. Unfortunately the address was Mississippi so I didn't get them forwarded in time. But this site, her nice note w/ the request really showed the sense of community organization Obama strives for. I also received home made window stickers from CA and buttons from Chicago. They went quickly in our small town OH field office. I just hope we can rely on the campaign for more signs come the general election and won't have to resort to this. Sorry for those who weren't successful but realize this was an incredible grassroots movement. COuld you imagine the cost of people making their own yard signs and t-shirts (as we did to distribute in our community) and other items into the $ that Obama has raised? It would give the tally a significant bump.
Yes we can!! I would like to thank everyone who makes this site possible. JohnM spread love and unity to Philadelphia, PA. Our primary is coming soon and although I have been volunteering in my neigborhood, all I had to wear was a lonely Obama button. Now, I can go out with pride- with my Obama shirt on my chest and a reawakened spirit of love in my heart. JohnM's unselfishness is amazing. I promise to help someone in an upcoming primary. Thank you for this whole concept.

I sent magnetic bumper stickers to Ryan in PA.
I am looking to buy more materials to send to those in PA. It is a way, however small, I can feel like I am making an impact.
I just got back from driving all over Tupelo, Mississippi giving out Obama campaign brochures and stickers. Last week I requested material on Obamacycle.com, and some nice person from Houston, TX sent me a large package of brochures and stickers. I was a little worried about handing it out by myself. But once I got going, I had a lot of fun with it. I went to service stations, coffee shops, restaurants, and stores. Most people were very happy to receive the literature and especially the stickers. I even met one other person who was out in her car giving out flyers. Thank you Obamacycle! And Thanks to everyone who sent me campaign materials! I think Mississippi will bring in a big win for Obama tomorrrow!
